An at home fall inspired luxury birthday celebration
Celebrating is in our DNA and we love every style it comes in. We not only love planning weddings, but ALSO birthday parties, baby showers, honeymoons and anything else you want to cheers to. If you want to celebrate it, we can plan it.
This surprise luxury birthday celebration is a perfect example. There were 3 super fun and special luxury events we planned throughout the day at our client’s home to celebrate an exciting milestone birthday. As an event planner, nothing excites me more than multi-celebrations in one day! Even though it was during Covid times, we weren’t going to let that get in the way of making it extra special.
I planned this surprise celebration for my dear client who loves celebrating others and making them feel special. It was such a treat to actually plan this for her without her knowing, secretly, with her son.
To kick off the celebration, the birthday girl was welcomed home with this *can’t help but make you smile* birthday balloon entrance we designed and planned with Girl Friday Creative (love those girls!).
The birthday girl LOVES flowers and beautiful details. It was important to me to ensure we created spaces for her that were unique in a way she hadn’t experienced in her own home so the day felt special. Especially since she wasn’t able to celebrate outside of the home.
Part I of the surprise birthday celebration consisted of
Kicking off the morning with a fall brunch of her favorite pumpkin bites and special decorated chair for her (as a little girl she always decorated the chair of whomever’s bday it was, how cute is that?!).
She loves pumpkins, so I had these mini pumpkins calligraphed with everyone’s name on them for fun and unique place cards.
Part II of the surprise birthday celebration consisted of
A special video we put together of her loved ones sending love and birthday wishes from all over that couldn’t celebrate with her in person.
A blind champagne tasting for our bubbly loving girl set outside with the beautiful fall leaves overlooking the lake.
A Japanese (her fav) inspired food tasting.
And to end part II, since she loves Tarot Card readings, we had someone come and do private individual readings at her home for the family.
Part III of the surprise birthday celebration consisted of
Our sweet client loves beautiful details and fun new experiences. My goal was to create a special design that would make her feel as if she were living in a true wonderland of beauty, dining under a dream of lush fall color that would make her heart flutter with surprise and love.
We build out a tent to create a new setting at the house she hasn’t experienced & wanted to make it extra exceptional with hand selected chandeliers, hanging flowers and a grand entrance.
My favorite part was this lavish hanging floral garden and the chandeliers we made to look like crystal ornaments within that garden. I could have stared at this for hours!
We love beautiful details, but we love them most when we put soul and story behind them. For this celebration, the swan symbolized so much of what the guest of honor encompassed (grace, beauty, devotion, love, peace, partnership, elegance, energy, protection, calmness & creativity) which is how we knew these plates were the perfect fit when designing the centerpieces, place settings and overall table design. We are also quite in love with how the calligraphy name card idea turned out!
We wanted the dinner to be thoughtful and designed all the little and big details to be a reflection of the birthday girl and what she loves, including every single part of the menu. We curated a 5 course vegan dinner of the foods she loves in a unique way she hadn’t had them. We planned out a custom menu and collaborated with the incredible two-time James Beard Award winning chef, Daniel Klein with The Perennial Plate. She also is a vino loving girl so with each course, we included a wine pairing from one of her her favorite regions.
To end the dinner, we had an incredible custom designed Chanel birthday cake made for our fashion loving girl, accompanied with her pumpkin treats.
I’ll never be able to put into words the joy it brings my heart when we can create something that we can see brings true love and happiness to someone. It’s a dream to be able to design experiences that can do that and then watch it all come to life.
Even though this could only be held with immediate family, it was still a very special day that brought on a lot of happiness and nothing makes us happier than THAT! Intimate or grand, we love designing experiences from the heart that turn into life long joyful memories for our clients.
This will forever be one of my favorite birthday celebrations.
